Moving from Business Intelligence to Analytics with Power BI?

I conducted a workshop in Florida in 2019. Although some of the technology will be out of date, the principles will still be useful for concepts such as sales and marketing analytics, and Python, for example. The conference was aimed at helping people to move from Business Intelligence to Analytics. I thought I’d post the slides here since they will still be useful. If you have any questions, please get in touch with me here.

I have added some guidelines for using Power BI with marketing and sales data. These are general principles, and I hope it’s useful to people who produce business intelligence dashboards in these areas.

Please do not share or reuse without permission, or do some fancy ‘advanced research’ i.e. rewording using Grammarly and/or Otter.ai of my sessions. You know who you are, and so do I!

  1. Thank you for the valuable information on the blog.
I am not an expert in blog writing, but I am reading your content slightly, increasing my confidence in how to give the information properly. Your presentation was also good, and I understood the information easily.
