In the early 2000s, I did a Masters degree at the University of Aberdeen and I was a stagiere at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie – UPMC which is now part of the Sorbonne Université in Paris, established by fusion in 2018 of Paris-Sorbonne University and Pierre and Marie Curie University. I then did a Cognitive Science Masters postgraduate degree at the University of Birmingham. I’m now studying for my MBA at the private college Robert Kennedy College in Zürich, Switzerland, which I’m doing online. I hope to graduate end of 2019.

AI has gone through waxes and wanes, like other technolog innovations. Artificial Intelligence waned somewhat, and, after having spent five years as an Artificial Intelligence consultant for a company called Brightware, I moved into Business Intelligence. I was accustomed to working with data, and finding patterns in it, and making it sensible from the business perspective.

I never forgot my original love of Artificial Intelligence, and I’m thrilled to see that the rest of the world is catching up with me! Throughout my career, I’ve worked end-to-end with data and it’s great to be cool – again. I’ve lived through an entire lifecycle of technology and I hope that things will be even more exciting in the future.

In this section, I’ll talk more about the work in AI I’m doing now, and provide insights into the industry from my perspective.
